MtG Vamp Fan Art

Well, I haven't uploaded anything in forever, again, but now I bring another piece of my skill level, or lack there of.

With the Zendikar set coming out for Magic the Gathering, I am looking forward to all the new cards and opportunities. One thing I am particularly happy about is Vampires finally getting the tribal power that they have long deserved Take that zombies!

I thought I would try my hand at sketching again in honour of the Vampires' achievement, and so I decided to draw a bust based on Steve Argyle's "Guul Draz Vampire". Those of you that haven't seen it, I would recommend checking it out, it is stunning. Needless to say, my piece doesn't do the original the honour it deserves.

I suck at drawing humanoids, faces especially, so I am actually rather happy with how this one came out. My eyes always look souless, but since she's an undead that should be okay, right? This also gave me a chance to try and draw braided hair, which is rather difficult to make it look good, but I'm more-or-less happy with the techniques I tried.
