Githian Raptor 1

A quick gust of wind, and the taller of the two men reached up to grab his hat.
"That was close," he grumbled to his companion, "Damn wind almost made me lose my..."
The rest of his words were snatched from him as talons pierced his flesh and into the air he soared, being carried aloft by a great, four-winged creature. Amidst the agony coursing through his body, he opened his eyes, and was astonished as the world below fell farther and farther away, as he was carried into the sky. The beauty of it all flowed into him, and he could not believe the wonder that was flight.
The pain vanished suddenly from his shoulders, and suddenly the world was rising up to great him. He returned to the ground, and all went dark. His companion ran away, blindly down the path, as the great winged beast came to feast on his broken companion.

A drawing of a creature I designed for the RPG Anima. I call it a Githian Raptor. I didn't realize how similar it is to a griffin when I thought it up, but I like the idea of four wings, used together to fly majestically through the air. I think I may draw another version of it, with it in mid-flight for a new challenge. Haven't tried to draw an animal in forever, but I think it came out all right.
